More than 300 EO members boarded the TSS Earnslaw during the 2012 EO Queenstown University.
Not as much rain today, but tons of experience sharing as attendees of the EO Queenstown University heard from some of the best business minds in the world. Most notably, CEO of Saatchi and Saatchi Kevin Roberts, president of Gatorade (North America) Sarah Robb O’Hagan and Lighthouse Ideas owner Mike Hutcheson. In a special Q&A session called “The Bull Pen,” members engaged the business experts and learned how to nurture dreams, play to customers’ needs and handle compromise, among other business topics.
Following this special session, EO’s global entrepreneurs underwent a media-training experience with celebrated journalist Amanda Millar, and discovered the future of social media in a presentation led by Kirsten Nevill-Manning, director of human resources at Facebook. After these learning sessions concluded, the 300+ members in attendance headed toward Steamer’s Wharf, where they proceeded to board the 100-year-old TSS Earnslaw, a floating monument in the Queenstown resort area. Drinks and dishing out best practices filled the night, capping off with an exquisite dinner set against an astonishing backdrop of majestic mountains at Walter Peak … the perfect ending to a perfect day of learning!
Tomorrow: Off-Sites in the form of bungy jumps, skydiving, Harley-Davidson tours, fly fishing, helicopter rides and golfing. Adventure, indeed.
