I am an Entrepreneur…

I am unique…
I am a visionary…
I am complex… Yet I seek simple solutions…
I am a risk taker and a decision maker…
I am energetic and enthusiastic…
I am spontaneous… and I am fast paced…
I am a leader… and rarely am I a follower…
I am a self-starter, self-motivator and I am self-reliant…
I am an optimist and I am confident…
I am accountable and I am responsible…
I am a deal maker and I am willing to be a deal breaker…
I am positive, creative and decisive…
I am both a futurist and a historian…
Both a student and a teacher…

I am analytical… I am a thinker…
I have an unquenchable thirst for wisdom and knowledge…
I am open minded… to new ideas, but not naysayers…
I am fearless and I am a fighter…
I am direct and blunt…
I am passionate and compassionate…
I am forgiving and caring…
I am a lover, a husband, a father, a friend, although only to a few… 

I am an entrepreneur… are you?

But wait, I am not done…
As an entrepreneur there are times I am very lonely…
As up here at the top, there is no one to kick you in the butt or pat you on the back
At times I am stressed
Finding it hard to sleep at night from the day before …
Or get out of bed because of the day ahead…
I said I am energetic, but I have times of exhaustion…
I said I am a hard worker, but at times I can be lazy…
I said I am a fighter, which also means I am argumentative…
I said I am complex, which means I am often misunderstood…
And I do not have the tolerance to explain myself…
I said I am an optimist and confident…
But as I am programmed to believe in my optimism…
I am as well in my pessimism and can become a self-defeatist…

I am preoccupied and lack focus …
Ask my wife…
I am impatient…
Ask my children …
I am opinionated…
Ask my friends… those I still have…
I am stubborn…
Ask my employees…
I said I am caring…
But I am often selfish with my time and energy…
Ask my family…

I am an Entrepreneur!  Are you?

As an entrepreneur I sometimes create havoc, bewilderment, confusion and stress…
But I also create passion, excitement, knowledge and success…
My peers and I?  We create…
New ideas…
New methods…
New skills…
New jobs…
New companies…
New wealth…
New industries…

And ladies and gentlemen, in the upcoming years it will be us, the entrepreneurs, that will create entirely new economies!

I am an Entrepreneur! Are you?

As an Entrepreneur I know that my success is not because of what I have done…
But it is because of what I am!
And I?  I am an ENTREPRENUER…
