Entrepreneurs’ Organization Names New Global Chairman

The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) is pleased to announce that Kevin Langley became Chairman of the Global Board of Directors on 1 July 2011. Langley, a member of EO’s New Orleans chapter, has been actively involved in the organization’s leadership for a number of years, including serving as the EO New Orleans Chapter President.

During his tenure as President, Langley successfully led the recovery of the chapter after Hurricane Katrina, and organized and launched EO’s Accelerator program in New Orleans. His tenure as Chairman will center on the theme “Living the Values, Realizing the Vision.”

“In the coming year, we are going to focus on how we as entrepreneurs build ourselves into better entrepreneurs and why that is important,” said Langley. “EO is committed to helping leading entrepreneurs learn and grow, and we believe doing so is vital in building strong businesses and communities.”

Langley has been an entrepreneur since his days as a student at Louisiana State University (LSU). Since then, he has successfully founded and grown two of the New Orleans area’s top 100 largest privately held businesses. Langley is currently the CEO and co-owner of Ellis Construction, Inc., a regional commercial contractor based in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. A serial entrepreneur, he also owns various other companies in construction, real estate, environmental technology and new media. Langley and his companies have received numerous awards, including Inc magazine’s Inner City 100, New Orleans’ City Business magazine’s Power Generation award, and the Junior Achievement’s Rising Star award.

Langley currently serves on the Louisiana Board of Commerce and Industry, the LSU Honors College Advisory Board and the Xavier University Business Advisory Council. Langley and his wife, Donna, are the proud parents of 6-year-old triplets.

The EO Global Board also welcomes Rosemary Tan of EO Malaysia, who joins the Board as Chairman-Elect-Elect. Daniel De la Garza of EO Costa Rica and Christopher Bryant of EO New York also stepped into Director positions on the Board.
